South African Indian Meatballs with Chutney
A twist on the traditional styled meatball.
Ingredients
500g mince
1 large onion (finely diced)
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of crushed ginger and garlic
1 teaspoon of salt
2 size 6 eggs
A handful of chopped coriander

To make the chutney:
1 400g can of diced tomatoes
5-6 cloves of garlic
3-4 chillies (optional)
1 ½ teaspoons of salt

Method
- Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
- Roll into small balls.

- Fry in a shallow pan on medium to low heat for 15 minutes, turning the meatballs occasionally.
- In another saucepan, fry onions, garlic and chillies until onions are brown.
- Add the can of tomatoes and salt and cook for 20 minutes.
- Now add the cooked meatballs to the cooked chutney and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Serve with rice or rotis. Enjoy!
