Love is at the heart of our preschool

Twenty years since its opening Gulf Harbour Preschool still has the reputation of being the Hibiscus Coast’s premier early learning centre. Gulf Harbour Preschool is owned and operated by Lynda and Stephen who are both qualified, primary trained teachers who know how vital it is to create “a love for learning” in your child’s foundational years.

Our Teachers

Lynda & Stephen

OWNERS

Lynda has been a teaching professional for over 40 years. Throughout her career she has not only inspired many children but has also been a lecturer training and equipping future primary school teachers with skills to enhance their teaching. Seeing the need for children to attain quality education in their early years, Lynda transitioned from primary to early childhood teaching gaining the necessary qualifications. She then established Gulf Harbour Preschool centred on preparing children for a lifetime of learning. Lynda’s “hands on” presence in the preschool ensures its exceptional standards are consistently maintained. Steve not only built the preschool but has been instrumental in maintaining an exciting learning environment. Like Lynda, Steve has also been in the teaching industry for over 40 years. A long standing senior school manager, college deputy principal and primary teacher, he highly values education and brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to the learning programme. Steve thoroughly enjoys investing his time at the preschool teaching and motivating children in their learning.

Marianne

MANAGER

Marianne, like Lynda has a passionate desire to see children grow and reach their potential. She is so delighted when children share the knowledge and discoveries that they have made during their time at preschool. Marianne has been teaching and managing early childhood centres for over twenty years, sixteen of which she has been at Gulf Harbour Preschool.  She has a special passion for the arts. Marianne oversees the delivery of the preschool curriculum, including our wonderful ‘Dream Team’ extension programme where children work one on one with teachers on their individual learning projects. Your little one will learn to research, write, and gain confidence through sharing the information that they have discovered. Marianne is especially excited about our unique and specialised art programme, where children also work one on one with teachers learning special art techniques as well as being immersed in art history. Marianne and Lynda’s ultimate goal is for your little one to truly develop a love for art, language and learning about our wonderful world which will certainly ensure that your child’s transition to school will be a smooth, positive and successful experience.
