This activity is so much fun for toddlers and preschoolers. This is another activity inspired by the wonderful book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
You will need:
Green and red washable paint
Green and yellow paper
Glue
Rounded potato masher
Scissors
2 bowls for paint
Marker

Step 1: Dip the potato masher into the green paint (make sure the entire surface is covered in paint so that it stamps a full circle). Stamp 5 times on yellow paper to make the body.

Step 2: Clean the masher in warm water or wipe until clean.
Step 3: Dip the potato masher into the red paint (again make sure the entire surface is covered in paint so that it stamps a full circle) stamp it once at the top of the Caterpillars body to make the head.
Step 4: Draw 2 small ovals on yellow paper then using your scissors cut the ovals out for the outer part of the Caterpillars eyes. Then draw and cut 2 smaller green ovals for the center of the Caterpillars eyes.
Step 5: Glue the eyes on the red Caterpillar head.
Step 6: Using a marker add 2 feelers for your Caterpillar and little legs to its body.

Have fun!
