Paper chain Caterpillar craft
Another lovely activity inspired by the book The Very hungry Caterpillar. This craft activity is fun and really easy to do.
You will need:
Red and green paper
Small piece of white paper
Scissors
Ruler
Pencil
Glue
Marker
Sellotape (A stapler can be used to join links however I thought it may be safer to use tape)
Step 1: Using your ruler and pencil draw some strips on your green paper for your Caterpillars body (as many as you decide). Now draw 1 red strip for your Caterpillars head.

Step 2: Cut the strips using your scissor.
Step 3: Fold 1 piece of the green paper to make your first link of the chain fasten with Sellotape.

Step 4: Place another strip into the link you already have and fold to fasten. You should now have 2 links joined. Continue to join the green links until you are happy with the length of the Caterpillars body.
Step 5: Now take your red strip and join it to your first link. Your Caterpillar now has a head.
Step 6: Take your small piece of white paper and draw 2 small feelers on it. Colour in with your marker.
Step 7: Cut out your feelers and glue onto your Caterpillars head.

Step 8: Finally draw on and mouth and eyes for your Caterpillar.

I hope you will have as much fun as I did.
