When children use recycled or upcycled materials to make successful crafts projects, it helps them learn the importance of reusing or conserving earth’s resources. This is a lesson that they will carry with themselves all throughout their lives and make them better global citizens of the future.

You will need:

Milk bottle

Paint

Paintbrush

Scissor or knife

Glue gun (optional)

Feathers

Googly eyes

Step 1: Rinse out a used milk bottle.

Step 2: Cut it off by the handle carefully using a scissor or knife.

Step 3: Cut a 'n' shape from the sides to make your elephants legs.

Step 4: Paint your elephant the colour you decided on. Leave to dry.

Step 5: Add eyes for your now painted elephant. You can glue on googly eyes or paint eyes on.

Step 6: Add any additional decorations to your elephant.
