Make your own Quoits!
(Paper plate ring toss)
If you’re running out of ideas for fun games to play at home, why not try making your own quoits game!
This is such a simple activity to make, but provides lots of fun and competition!
All you need is:
Paper plates (if you have different sizes, even better)
Paint, crayons or felts to colour the plates
Scissors
Paper towel roll

The aim of quoits is to successfully throw the ring so it lands over the spike or peg (in this case - the paper towel roll).
You’ll need to cut the inside of the plate out using scissors - if this is tricky ask a family member to help you. This will help develop your fine-motor skills!

Next, choose your favourite coloured paint, crayons, felts or pencils to colour the paper rings.

Find a spot to begin playing!
Place the roll on the ground (we put ours on top of a water bottle to make it stable) and stand back to start the game!
For anyone who has lego, you could build a lego tower to use as your ‘peg’ instead of using the paper towel roll! Think outside the box and have fun!
