Hungarian Tart
The easiest jam slice that you would ever make.
Ingredients:
175g butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 tablespoons of oil
2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
5 tablespoons of jam

Method:
- Cream butter, sugar, egg, oil and vanilla essence together in a mixing bowl.
- Sift in the flour and baking powder
- Mix well until it forms a dough.
- Separate the dough in two. One ball of dough needs to be half the size of the other.
- Press the larger dough into a rectangular or square baking tin.

6. Spoon in the jam making sure it reaches the edges of the tin.

7. Now grate the smaller ball of dough into the tin and use a fork to gently spread the dough around the tin. Dust with plain flour.
8. Bake at 180 degrees celsius for 25 minutes.
