Flourless Black Bean Brownies
Create a tea party at home with a different take on a brownie. These gluten-free, dairy-free and plant based brownies can be paired with a cup of tea for a delicious afternoon tea. Thanks to Raquel (@auckwardveggie) Marianne’s daughter for this recipe.
Ingredients:
¼ cup of coconut oil
1 can of black beans (drained and rinsed)
2 TBsps of cocoa powder
½ cup of oats
¼ tsp of salt
½ cup of honey or maple syrup
2 tsps of vanilla
1 tsp of baking powder
2/3 cup of dark chocolate chips
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees
- Melt coconut oil
- Place coconut oil, and all other ingredients except chocolate chips in a food processer, blend together until combined to a smooth paste.

- Mix in chocolate chips with a spoon
- Pour into a greased pan and cook in the oven for 12-15 minutes (leaving a slightly gooey centre).
