Accordion paper fish

This activity is so much fun. It focuses on your fine motor skills and creativity.

You will need:

Colour paper

White paper

Glue

Marker

Pencil

Scissors

Step 1: Fold a sheet of A4 colour paper in half (lengthwise).

Step 2: Cut the paper by the fold.

Step 3: Taking the 1 half start to fold the paper so that it starts to form what looks like an accordion. Leave 7 cm unfolded for the fish head.

Step 4: Now focusing on the fish head (the 7cm unfolded piece) using your scissor round the front piece to form a head for your fish.

Step 5: Cut a slight piece of your fish head to form a mouth.

Step 6: On a white piece of paper draw an eye for your fish and cut out. Paste the eye on your fish head.

Step 7: Using another colour of paper preferably different to the colour you have already used, cut out fins for your fish and glue them on.

Step 8: Using your marker you can now draw some patterns on your fish and outline it if you wish to do so. Get creative!
