Painting Vegetables

Painting our very own vegetables

Painting Vegetables!!

Today, you explored the wonderful world of vegetables through painting! You carefully looked at a beautifully painted picture for inspiration before creating your own vegetable masterpieces. Using vibrant paints, you painted crunchy orange carrots, tiny green peas, fluffy broccoli, colourful yellow, orange, and green capsicums, and even a large striped pumpkin with shades of bright orange and light orange.

You showed wonderful concentration as you observed the shapes, colours, textures, and details of each vegetable. You experimented with brush strokes and pattern making to recreate what you could see.  You noticed the tiny florets on the broccoli and carefully added stripes and curves to your pumpkin. It was lovely to see you taking pride in your artwork.

This experience encouraged your creativity, observation skills, and confidence in artistic expression. By using a picture as inspiration, you were learning that artists often study real objects and images to help them create detailed and meaningful artwork.

In line with Te Whāriki, this experience supported you to develop your skills, explore creativity, and all the while having so much fun!!
